Birch Bank Camp Part 2~ Campfires

We enjoyed sitting around the campfire every night except for the Wednesday evening that there was tornado warnings and we had a torrential down pour for a couple hours. The kids only stayed up for 2 of the fires to roast hot dogs and marshmallows, which made it easier for us adults, not having to watch out for kids getting too close to the flames! I think some of my favorite memories are the conversations we shared around the fire as Christian friends. Friday night everyone had packed up and left, leaving our family by ourselves. With our kids tucked away for the night we ended up enjoying a campfire with our friends Rob & Geraldine who stopped by for a visit. They were staying at Brouwers cottages on the same lake. It made for a nice ending to our week!
