Van Dyk Family Get Together

On Saturday, May 31st, a majority of the Van Dyk relations gathered together for the annual reunion.  By my estimation there were 157 of us, with 7 or 8 families missing along with a few individuals (including Chris).  But there were a few non-relatives there as well. We were supposed to meet at RCS but there was a scheduling conflict.  Thankfully it was discovered a month ahead of time and not the week of, and Providence Christian School was available.  Nathan was super excited to show his Oma, Grandpa and cousins where he went to school, although disappointed because his classroom was locked.

It was decided last year that each of Oma's 7 children and their families would take turns organizing this yearly event.  The Stel's did a great job, esp. with games for the kids.  The families were also assigned a colour to wear.  It does make it helpful in figuring out which kids are from what family.  We were all in red.

Oma- the women responsible for it all :) along with Opa, who's been gone 30 years now.

 Love the rainbow of colours!

There was also a volleyball tournament that you could sign up for.

The weather was so beautiful! The fellowship was sweet.  So much to thank our heavenly Father for.

Great pictures Anneke!! It was a wonderful day, and we are so thankful for a godly heritage! And of course, dear Oma is such a blessing to each one of us!
