Rock Lake Lodge 2009

Early (5:18 am. to be exact) on the morning of Monday, July 13,
2009, Nathan and I headed up to Rock Lake Lodge to spend some
relaxing time with my family. Chris was not able to come with us...
every year my family has "their" week at RLL it is usually the
same week his boss leaves for camping. Plus with Chris' boss
breaking his ankle made it even more impossible for Chris
to come. We left so early so we could hopefully miss rush-hour
traffic thru Toronto, and thankfully we were successful!
After a stop at McDonald's for some breakfast,
we made it to RLL near Bancroft by 9:45 (I think).
Nathan ended up wearing his p.j.'s all day... no sense in
getting more clothes dirty in just one day! Andrea and I made
several meals in advanced so we didn't have to do much work
for suppers. Thanks to my mom for taking care of Nathan every
morning! He was up several time during the first night and awake
at 6 every morning. I drugged him with Gravol the
2nd and 3rd night, which helped him sleep :) It was so nice to have
a couple more hours to sleep while my mom entertained Nathan.
Sharing a room with a little boy who thrashes around in his sleep is
not fun. Thanks to mom and dad for letting me stay with them.
Oma pushing her grand kids in the swings.
So much fun playing together.
Boccie ball is a favorite with everyone.
Nathan loves his suckers!
My nephew Wesley, Nathan's buddy, always quick to smile when
a camera is pointed his way.
Me and my cutie :)
Nathan was such a good boy (during the day at least). He just
loved to sit and watch all the other kids running around. Hopefully
next year he'll be in on all the action!
Nathan had lots of fun in the sand... didn't eat to much but did
manage to get some beside his eye.
Erica doing her bathing suit model pose :)
We were blessed with beautiful weather! The mornings and evenings
were quite cool, even chilly, but during the day when the sun wasn't
hiding behind some clouds, it was very warm. The bugs were bad
at times, but they never really bothered Nathan or me.

Erica and Bradley are little fishes... they love the water!
Cute cousins :)
Nathan absolutely loved the swing!
Swinging with Grandpa in the screened in porch.
Story time with Oma
So much sand to play in!
The women were usually found sitting on the porch reading,
doing sudoku puzzles or painting our nails.
Bradley swings... and misses.
Somehow he pinched his finger while swinging....
He wanted his dad to comfort him but Brad had gone home
for a few days to help his dad with the pigs. So mommy
had to do.
Sweet Erica :)

You go in August, right? It's so much fun there, esp. when you go with family. It's fun for the kids to play with their cousins.

Yep - although this year I think most of our week fall in September (before school starts) and you're right - it is SO much fun for all the cousins and it is especially nice for the ones that don't see eachother very often (adults too!:))
