A Day Out With Thomas

Last week Friday we drove all the way to St. Thomas to spend a day out with Thomas (the Train :). Nathan has several Thomas books and movies plus some tracks and trains to play with. He's definitely a big fan of the blue train! So when I heard that Thomas was coming to town, I ordered tickets. It just so happened that we had my nephew Wesley over that week so he (very much a Thomas fan) was able to come along. When we got there we blew lots of bubbles. There was buckets of suds and lots of different wands we could use to blow big bubbles.

Wesley made some pretty big bubbles!

Sliding down the bouncy slide... took a lot of convincing to get Nathan to go down!

Inside an arena there were 2 large Thomas bouncy play areas, train tables set up with lots of trains to play with, a craft station, a spot to get temporary tattoos, gift shop, and actual model trains. There was also live entertainment (musician, magic show and ventriloquist) and an area with story-telling and Thomas movies to watch.

The kids loved playing with the trains the best!

Nathan and Wesley weren't too sure about Sir Toppham Hat :)

My kids loved the petting zoo which was full of goats, sheep, chickens and a donkey. They had no fear of all the animals. Wesley was definitely not as fond of the animals as Nathan and MaryBeth were.

Finally we climbed aboard our the train, ready for our ride.

It was SOOOO hot on there! We were the last to board our car so all of the good seats by the open windows were taken :( Everyone was a little sweaty by the time the 20 minute ride was over!

Once the ride was over, we waited in line so the kids could get their picture taken in front of Thomas.

Nathan was more fascinated with his stick then looking up to smile for the camera.

And that was the end of our day out with Thomas!
